Dave Allen

White bluesman and accomplished guitarist Dave Allen recorded Color Blind for International Artists in 1968 and the album was one of the final albums released by the label in 1969. Its eleven tracks capture the pain of the alcohol and drug addictions that blighted his life, providing a window into the life of a great musician at a critical moment in time, just before he slipped over the edge into oblivion.

This is the first time the album has ever been available on CD and it has been carefully re-mastered and is issued with four bonus tracks.

The lavish package is a 2000 copy limited edition rigid digibook. The 16 page booklet also features unpublished pictures and new sleeve notes from Allen's biographer Gary Redeker, detailing the ultimately tragic story of this talented musician and the incredible music he created.
